Set on the shores of Pittwater, The Newport wanted to be bought back to life as a vibrant gathering place for all ages. The concept behind our reinvigoration of the Newport is based around the original history of “New” Port. The Pittwater area was the original and first stopping bay for steamboats arriving into Sydney. As the resting place for travelers, workers and sea-faring folk, we bought it back to it’s routes in every design and detail.
Incorporating various outdoor dining spaces and bars across the sprawling grounds, the visual identity expresses this idea of the arrival of new foreign influence and busy bustling portside life, this is re-itterated with by the breakdown of design between each space and the different experience each one offers.
