These are the spaces where we go to heal - where body, mind, and energy realign. Spaces for massage, facials, acupuncture, deep relaxation, and renewal. Yet, despite their purpose, most are sterile, uninspired, and disconnected from the very essence of healing.

During December and January, our founder, Amanda Talbot, immersed herself in one of the world’s most ambitious living experiments—Auroville. Among the many lessons, one truth stood out: the deep, unwavering belief in community (flawed or not), the power of nature, and the necessity of places for deep concentration.

Science shows that lower, closer-to-the-ground seating can trigger a “grounding effect,” reducing cortisol (stress hormone) and promoting a sense of calm. It mirrors the way we naturally gather around campfires or sit cross-legged on the earth — both primal acts that foster connection and belonging.

When spaces feel cozy and enclosed, our nervous system shifts into a state of safety and calm, which is essential for human connection. The smaller, more defined space encourages togetherness, while natural materials, soft textures, and views of nature activate the parasympathetic nervous system — the part of our brain responsible for rest, healing, and bonding.
